Your voice for the future of the HSG counts!

After the great success of SQUARE, we want to continue developing the HSG with you and realise new visionary projects. That's why we asked you for your critical opinion in our online survey at the beginning of the year - and received some very interesting responses. We are pleased to present you with a small selection of the votes we received and the measures we have derived from them.

These are the key actions we will take immediately based on your responses

  • Intensification of face-to-face meetings and telephone calls
  • Annual Impact Report HSG Foundation: to be mailed in August 2024
  • Donation mailing to all HSG alumni on social scholarships: to be sent in November 2024
  • Mailing to all donors with project update and donation receipt: sent in January 2025

Donors (private individuals) cite the following as the most common motivation for donating

  • Gratitude and solidarity with the HSG
  • Supporting and promoting the HSG
  • Commitment to the HSG community
  • Appreciation of the HSG and its reputation
  • Personal motivation and relationship to the HSG

Donors (private individuals) would like the donation to be used as follows

  • Interesting, innovative, compelling projects
  • Clear purpose and transparency
  • 75% of respondents would like to donate to a specific project
  • 44% would like to make a general donation to the development of the HSG

Donors (private individuals) are very interested in the following topics

  • Business topics: Innovation, start-ups, entrepreneurship, international business, economic history
  • Social, technological issues: Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence, Ethics, Transformation, Digitalisation
  • Political and legal topics: Current world affairs, daily politics, security policy

Students have commented on the topic of donations as follows

  • 76% know that the HSG accepts donations.
  • 90% know that SQUARE is financed by donations.
  • 80% think it is important for the HSG to be able to maintain a top international ranking thanks to donations.
  • 73% do not yet know whether they would donate to the HSG, but if they did, it would probably be for a specific project and online/via TWINT.
